Jerusalem, spring of the year 33. A crowd gathers at the city gates to welcome Jesus of Nazareth, who is preparing to celebrate Passover with his apostles and followers. With a revolutionary message, he has gained supporters everywhere, but also aroused suspicion among the religious authorities. Soon, the Last Supper will take place, sealing the fate of one of the most influential figures in human history. In Ierusalem Anno Domini, each player represents one of the communities of followers of Jesus of Nazareth who have traveled to Jerusalem from nearby towns and villages, seeking to get as close as possible to the seats of Jesus and his apostles at the Last Supper. Designed by Carmen G. Jiménez and illustrated by L.A. Draws, Ierusalem Anno Domini can be played solo or with up to 4 participants. The objective is to have the greatest presence of your community's followers around the table of the Last Supper. The closer they are to the apostles and Jesus himself, the more victory points they will provide at the end of the game. Points are also awarded for collected parable tiles and offering tokens. The board displays various locations: the market, the desert, the mount, the lake, and the temple. By sending followers to these locations, players will gain stones, bread, and fish, as well as denarii or cards that allow additional actions. Actions include listening to a parable, attending the supper, changing positions, or performing favors. Meanwhile, the patience of the Sanhedrin diminishes, represented by a token moving along a track, triggering the end of the game once it reaches a limit. However, the main element of the game is the cards. Each card corresponds to one of the five key locations. By playing them, combinations form that allow players to position apostles at the Last Supper table. Optimal placement of followers around Jesus and the apostles requires careful card and resource management. Not all apostles provide positive points—followers near Judas will score negative points.
