New wonders of humanity arrive in Carcassonne! This small expansion adds 4 large tiles representing several wonders of humanity: Abu Simbel, Tikal, Angkor Wat, and the Terracotta Warriors. Each of them will grant you a specific advantage, but you can only choose one during the entire game. Try to obtain the wonder that interests you the most as early as possible to make the most of it! This expansion for Carcassonne includes 4 tiles representing these wonders, and each of them counts as five tiles of normal size. They are placed on the map following the same rules as regular tiles. To do this, all players place a meeple on space 10 of the scoring track. When someone reaches that space, they choose one of the wonders and may place it on their next turn; then, all other meeples that were waiting on space 10 move 5 spaces forward, until another player repeats the process. Each wonder grants points for different reasons, such as the layout of the tiles at the end of the game, the creation of long roads or large cities, among others. Choosing the one that best fits your strategy will be key. This mini-expansion was designed for the Carcassonne base game and uses those same rules. It is possible to combine Wonders of Humanity with other expansions, although there are no official rules for all possible combinations.
