Welcome to the Northern Expanse, a place where nature remains unexplored, mystical, and dangerous. When humans first arrived, they believed they had found a pristine paradise, filled with lush forests, lakes teeming with fish, and fresh, cold water flowing from the mountains. But as their settlements expanded and the surrounding forests shrank, nature itself rebelled. Great creatures known as Beasts emerged and, with their tusks, claws, and mystical powers, posed an incredible threat to humankind. To protect the settlements, humans recruited specialized hunters tasked with tracking down and killing the Beasts before it was too late. Asymmetric Game Every action you take in this game is performed by playing a card from your hand (up to a maximum of two cards per turn). This means that if a player wants to search, attack, or move, they need to have a card in hand that allows them to do so. Before each round, both the hunters and the Beast take part in a draft of the most important cards. All action cards can be used by both the Beast and the hunters. Teamwork Above All To win this game, you must cooperate at all times if you are playing as a hunter, or cleverly outmaneuver your opponents if you are playing as the Beast. On their own, hunters are never stronger than the Beast. Only when hunters communicate, plan strategies, and combine their actions can they defeat the Beast before it is too late. The Revised Edition corrects minor errors present in the first edition (Limited Edition): Commander Varja, Frangir – Queen of the Wolves, Mini Beast Control Map, and the bases of the Standees. The Revised Edition does not include metal coins.
