Very soon, the first settlements and roads begin to appear, while the fertile lands provide you with abundant raw materials. Little by little, trade flourishes and settlements grow into cities. But before long, space on the island begins to grow scarce, and a fierce dispute triggers for land, resources, and power. A game in which strategy and dice luck play a fundamental role so you can colonize the territory. You will never play the same match twice because the random arrangement of the terrain tiles and the value assigned to each of them ensures that every game is unique. A game where you must colonize, trade with other players, and build roads, settlements, and cities to win. Catan Contents: 19 terrain tiles, 6 frame pieces, 18 number tokens, 4 building cost cards, 2 special cards, 95 resource cards, 25 development cards, 96 game pieces, 1 robber figure, 2 dice, 2 card holders, and a rulebook. Catan Expansions: And if you are left wanting more, try some of its expansions: Explorers & Pirates, Seafarers, Traders & Barbarians, or Cities & Knights. If you are a group of more than 4 people, don't worry, because Catan offers extensions for 5-6 players. Catan has been honored with countless awards, most notably winning the prestigious Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) in Germany in 1995.
