Carcassonne: Traders & Builders is an expansion for the classic tile-placement game Carcassonne. This expansion introduces 24 new tiles and cardboard tokens representing goods such as wine, cloth, and grain, which players obtain by placing followers on tiles with the corresponding icons or by completing cities. At the end of the game, the players with the most of each type of good earn 10 extra victory points. The world of trade arrives in Carcassonne! In addition to the new tiles and resources, Traders & Builders includes a builder pawn for each player. These new workers are placed in a city or road under construction and allow their owner to take an additional turn whenever they expand the city or road where their builder is located. And as if that weren’t enough, this expansion also adds a pig pawn for each player, which increases the value of farms at the end of the game. With this Carcassonne expansion, the game gains great strategic depth. The use of the builder, in particular, increases the potential for combo plays, and the goods obtained from completed cities enhance player interaction. Without a doubt, one of the must-have expansions for Klaus-Jürgen Wrede’s classic. A new dimension for one of the best modern board games!
