Carcassonne: Messengers & Mayors is an expansion for Carcassonne where your mayor will try to gain the favor of rival knights before duty calls them to an emergency meeting. Additionally, you can use your messenger and the scarecrow to further expand your influence. Intrigue and politics arrive at the citadel of Carcassonne! The Messengers & Mayors box includes new land tiles, highlighting the Town Hall tiles, which help keep rival mayors away. It also includes 3 new sets of pawns for each player, featuring mayors, messengers, and scarecrows. Players can place their mayor pawn in any city to gain the favor of a rival knight. Messengers can move to another road or city when their project is completed. Finally, scarecrows are placed in an occupied field and allow a player to bring back one of their farmers. Messengers & Mayors adds a new strategic dimension to your Carcassonne games.
