Dominant Species is a game that abstractly recreates a key moment in the history of the Earth: the Ice Age and its consequences for the creatures inhabiting an ever-changing planet. Each player takes on the role of one of six animal classes: - Mammals- Reptiles- Birds- Amphibians- Arachnids- Insects At the beginning, all start from a relatively balanced position, but only the class that adapts best will achieve victory. Through a worker placement system, players compete to gain dominance across different terrain types and claim the powerful effects of the cards. At the same time, they must expand their species to earn victory points, using actions such as speciation, migration, adaptation, and other evolutionary strategies. Everything culminates with the arrival of the Ice Age, when the player with the most points will elevate their animal class to become the true Dominant Species. A thematic area control game with great strategic depth and high player interaction. Animal miniatures NOT included.
