Description
Cheating Moth. You’re not allowed to cheat? Not in this shameless game! By being skilled at cheating and clever when discarding your cards, you’ll try to be the first player to get rid of all of them. It would be an easy task if it weren’t for the watchful eye of the guard bug. How do you play Cheating Moth? The oldest player receives the guard bug card and places it in front of them. 8 cards are dealt to each player, and the rest are placed on the table, turning one of them face up. Players must get rid of cards by playing one with a number immediately higher or lower than the card on the discard pile. The rest of the players can make their cards disappear however they like: dropping them under the table, tossing them over their shoulder, hiding them up their sleeve, or using any other creative and fun idea. Although cheating is allowed, there are some rules: you can’t make more than one card disappear at a time, and you can’t get rid of your last card by cheating. The player with the guard bug card cannot cheat and must keep an eye on the others. If they spot a cheat, they must say out loud “Caught you!”. If they are correct, the cheating player takes the card back, draws one additional card, and receives the guard bug card. If they are wrong, the guard bug draws an extra card and keeps their role. The other players may not intervene. The winner is the first player to manage to get rid of all their cards. Contents of the Cheating Moth game 72 cards, including: 20 action cards: 5 spider cards 5 mosquito cards 5 cockroach cards 5 ant cards 43 number cards 8 cheating moths 1 guard bug Why do we like Cheating Moth? Cheating Moth by Devir is a hilarious game in a handy format you can take anywhere. It’s a very family-friendly title and one of the few games where cheating is not only allowed, but almost mandatory. It guarantees laughs and memorable moments in every game.
