Exploding Kittens is the Kickstarter project with the most backers in history. Created by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal), and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel), the game made history when it reached over 219,000 backers.
It’s a feline version of Russian roulette with a strong strategic component. Players draw cards until someone gets an Exploding Kitten. When that happens, that person dies and is eliminated from the game unless they have a Defuse card, which cancels the effect of the Exploding Kitten using laser pointers, belly rubs, and tuna sandwiches.
