As every winter, the lake has turned to ice. It won’t last long, so you must take advantage of the cold as soon as possible and try to dominate the frozen areas before the thaw ruins everything. Choose the key zones wisely and control them before your rival to claim victory. Prove that the cold never bothered you anyway. In Winter, two players compete to have the most tokens of their color at the end of the game. Each game is divided into two phases. In the first, the freezing phase, players build the frozen lake together using their snowflake cards. They also lock areas where they manage to align four snowflakes of their color with their tokens. In the second phase, the thaw phase, they must dismantle the lake by moving and removing snowflake cards and each player’s tokens. Finally, the player with the most tokens left on the board wins the game. Winter is an abstract game for 2 players aged 8 and up. Games last around 10 intense minutes where every decision counts. It is part of our Devir Pocket line — small-format games with simple rules that offer endless replayability, perfect for playing anywhere and anytime. Winter was the winner of the Cardboard Edison Award 2021. It is the first game in the 4 Seasons series, which will continue with Autumn, Summer, and Spring. All the games offer intense two-player matches and evocative artwork.
