Colorful monkeys have mixed in your hand and are so comfortable they don't want to move. You must combine them wisely to get rid of them before your rivals and enjoy your banana in peace. Ready to play? Designed by Toshiki Arao and illustrated by Laura Michaud (Hanabi, Trio), this card game can be enjoyed by groups of 3 to 5 players aged 10 and up. Jungo challenges us to get rid of all our cards before our opponents do, forming and playing sets of cards. Easy to learn and fun to play, Jungo is the perfect companion for any trip or an ideal addition to a game night.
After shuffling the cards, 8 or 10 are dealt (depending on the number of players) and each player looks at them in secret. Here comes the golden rule of Jungo: the order of the cards in hand cannot be changed. On their turn, players can play one or more cards or draw from the central deck. If they choose to play cards, all must be of the same value, adjacent in their hand, and if there is already a set on the table, the played set must be higher, either because it has more cards or a higher value. Once the set is beaten, the player must decide whether to add it to their hand (placing it wherever they want) or discard it. If drawing a card, the player can add it anywhere in their hand, discard it, or use the Jungo rule, which allows playing a set with the drawn card. The first player to have no cards in hand wins the game.
Among the cards in the game, some are special. These are double-value cards that can assume one of two indicated values, chosen by the player. Each turn, players must carefully decide whether to play cards to get rid of them as quickly as possible. In short, Jungo offers hours of entertainment with very few rules. Will you master the art of combos to win the game?
