Let us travel back in time to the India of the rising Mughal Empire. You are rajahs, building splendid structures along the banks of the Ganges and trading valuable goods to gain glory and wealth. You can examine the dice cards in your hand, but now, with good judgment and insight, you must decide how to use them. Take advantage of your ships' cargo and the influence of palace residents to earn karma, additional cards, and other rewards. Moreover, if you ever manage to form one of the possible trios, you’ll gain the favor of a versatile administrator who will help you improve your provinces. In the end, we’ll see which strategy brings the best results. Designed by Inka and Marcus Brand (creators of the acclaimed Exit game series), this edition is completely independent from the original dice-placement game Ganges. It allows games for 2 to 4 players, ages 12 and up, lasting around 45 minutes. The goal of Ganges: Cards and Karma is to accumulate glory and wealth for your province. When a player obtains 3 glory tokens or 6 rupees, they flip a card on their scoring board and receive a bonus. The first player to flip all 6 cards on their board wins the game. The main engine of this edition of Ganges revolves around cards that, on one side, show an action and, on the other, a color and specific die value. Throughout the game, these values are used to pay the cost of acquiring new cards. On each turn, players may buy cards of various types (buildings, ships, goods…) to gain key resources: coins, karma, and glory. This new edition of the classic Ganges is a must-have for euro-style board game lovers.
