Downfall of Empires is an army-level World War I strategy simulation wargame designed to offer a fluid, historical and fast-paced experience. With only 4 pages of rules, it works perfectly as an introductory wargame. The game lasts 18 turns, supports 2 to 4 players (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Allies and Russia) and can be completed in under 3 hours. Each turn, players receive 2 or 3 actions depending on the side they control. These actions can be used to: - Move or attack with armies- Build trenches- Conduct diplomacy with non-aligned countries- Reinforce armies- Secretly develop technologies At the end of the game, victory is determined by victory points earned through controlling key areas on the map. The German and Franco-British Powers have three actions per turn, while the Russians and Austro-Hungarians have two actions per turn.
