FateFlip: Washed Ashore. ECLIPSE EDITORIAL

You wake up on a sandy beach. The sun burns your back, the salt from the sea stings your skin, and you can barely move your tongue in your mouth. You remember a huge wave threw you overboard and you quickly lost sight of the ship. You are lucky to be alive. But, where are you? Is this place inhabited, and do ships sail nearby? Will you ever return to your homeland? Will you be able to survive? Castaway is a solo adventure based on a story in which the player takes the role of the protagonist, shipwrecked and stranded on a deserted island. The player reads parts of the story from cards and makes decisions related to them, with consequences revealed immediately or later on. The Fate Flip system allows the use of cards with double-sided text, which can be flipped along their long or short side depending on the situation. With this simple mechanic, a narrative system is created that responds to your decisions and weaves a story throughout the game, featuring up to 13 different endings.
