Paleo: The White Whale. DEVIR

This Paleo expansion module takes us to a prehistoric coastal camp. By the sea, the group enjoys a peaceful existence and is learning to sail. But lately, rumors have spread about a monstrous creature that terrifies anyone who dares venture into the open sea… Are you ready to face new dangers in Prehistory? The The White Whale expansion includes a sea card deck, used when the group decides to go sailing. Instead of drawing a card from their pile, a player can choose to set sail; the only requirements are that someone has a raft and that no player has put their group to bed yet. While the journey lasts, all groups automatically help each other, facing the dangers of the 13 sea cards. The goal of taking the sail action is to find the great white whale. Throughout the game, the group will have an active mission card on the table indicating success or failure in the search. If the search fails, during the night phase players receive a skull token, as the creature surprises someone at sea. Remember, if you collectively accumulate 5 skull tokens, you lose the game! The difficulty of this module increases with the number of players. In two-player games, it represents a medium challenge, but with four players it becomes a real headache. Paleo, designed by Peter Rustemeyer, is a cooperative game in which players control a group trying to survive in the Paleolithic. It is played with card sets that determine the dangers faced and the locations visited. Thanks to its expansions, the possible scenario combinations—and therefore the replayability—are numerous.
