Dominion
You are a monarch, just as your parents once were, ruling over a small and peaceful kingdom filled with rivers and pastures. But unlike your parents, you have hopes and dreams! You want a larger and more splendid kingdom, with more rivers and an even greater variety of trees. You desire a Dominion! There are lands and fiefs everywhere—small plots controlled by spoiled petty nobles who are on the brink of anarchy. But you will bring civilization to these people, uniting them under the color of your banner. But wait… something is in the air: several other monarchs, just like you, have had the very same idea. You must act quickly to claim as much land as possible while watching out for them. To achieve your goal, you will have to pay the services of helpers and servants, construct buildings, enhance the splendor of your castle, and gather more and more treasures for your coffers. Your parents may not be very proud of you, but surely your maternal grandparents will be delighted.
This is a game in which you must build your deck of cards. The deck contains your resources, victory points, and the actions you can take. You begin with a small and humble collection of copper coins, but by the end of the game you hope it will be filled with gold, lands, and structures of your kingdom. This is the second edition of Dominion. Compared to the first edition, six cards have been replaced and one has been added; furthermore, the base cards have a new design and you now have a mat for the removed cards.
