Point Salad DEVIR

Point Salad is a fast and fun card game designed by Molly Johnson, Robert Melvin, and Shawn Stankewich and illustrated by Dylan Mangini. It can be played by 2 to 6 players, ages 8 and up, with games lasting 15 to 30 minutes. The goal is to score the most points by combining cards: there are over 100 different ways to score! The rules are simple and intuitive, so you can start playing immediately. Inside the tin box, you’ll find the rulebook and 108 cards. Each card shows, on one side, an ingredient for your salad (bell pepper with a yellow background, tomato with a red background, lettuce with a green background, cabbage with a purple background, carrot with an orange background, or onion with a pink background), and on the other side, a scoring criterion. To set up the game, adjust the number of cards according to the number of players (12 of each vegetable for 2 players, 9 for 3, 6 for 4, 3 for 5, and none for 6). Shuffle and create three equal stacks in the center of the table showing the scoring side. Then reveal the first two cards from each deck and form two rows of three cards showing the vegetable side. Get ready to prepare your salad! On their turn, players can: Take 2 vegetable cards and place them in their play area; replenish the cards from the corresponding deck. Take 1 scoring card from the three available and place it in their play area. Cards must be visible to all and stacked by the same type of ingredient. Players can also flip their scoring cards to add new vegetables to their salad. When the supply cards are depleted, the game ends. Each player calculates their points based on the criteria on their scoring cards and the accumulated ingredients. The player with the most points wins! The multiple scoring options provide a strategic challenge, while maintaining tension between choosing scoring cards or ingredients.
