Mindbug: a unique card duel.
You have been chosen to control a small part of the Mindbugs’ creations in their fight against former enemies. Summon unique creatures and use them to defeat your opponent in a high-strategy, intense duel. But be careful: at any moment your rival can use one of their Mindbugs to take control of your monsters.
From the legendary Richard Garfield —creator of games such as Magic: The Gathering and King of Tokyo— Mindbug is a 2-player card game for ages 8 and up, with fast-paced games lasting between 15 and 25 minutes.
Inside the box you’ll find 52 cards featuring the most outrageous creatures you can imagine: from a bear fused with a bee to an orangutan with a lion’s head. To start playing, simply shuffle and deal. Each player receives:
5 cards in hand.
5 face-down cards forming their reserve.
3 additional cards representing their life points.
2 Mindbug cards.
During their turn, each player can play a card or attack with a creature:
If they play a card, their opponent can use a Mindbug to steal control and activate its effect.
If they attack, the opponent can block or lose one life. If two creatures clash, the one with higher power wins.
The player who loses all 3 life points is defeated… and the game ends!
The cards have unique abilities that create endless strategies: Frenzy allows attacking twice, Stealth prevents blocks except by similar creatures, and Hunters can attack opponent cards directly. Each game uses only 20 cards (10 per player), ensuring unique combinations in every duel.
Mindbug combines the accessibility of a casual card game with the strategic depth of a competitive title. It is a mental duel of tactics and cunning with an original and surprising twist. While it’s easy to learn, mastering it requires ingenuity, adaptability, and perfect timing to play your best cards… or your opponent’s!
