Carcassonne Exp. 1 - Inns. DEVIR

Carcassonne: Inns & Cathedrals is the first expansion released for the famous tile-placement game Carcassonne, and also one of the most important, as it includes the game pieces needed to increase the number of players. This expansion of the classic Carcassonne by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede includes new tiles, rules, and a new set of pawns that allows the game to be played with up to six players. The rest of the expansions already include the additional pieces for this sixth player, but Inns & Cathedrals is required to make it possible. The new rules and tiles in Inns & Cathedrals introduce inns along roads, which increase the value of roads, and cathedrals, which triple the value of cities if players manage to complete them. However, they also increase the risk: a city that includes a cathedral and is not completed will not score any points. A new pawn is also added for each player —the big follower— which is worth one and a half times a normal follower, providing a significant advantage when scoring cities, roads, or farms where other players have followers.
